Rovers accounts show £3million debts

Wednesday 30th December 2009

Hull KR have filed accounts showing accumulated debts of more than £3million.

The accounts, filed late to Companies House, indicate the Robins had debts of £3.16million up to the end of November 2008, which do not take into account the 2009 season in which chairman Neil Hudgell has admitted they made a loss of around £450,000.

The accounts show £2,284,107 owed to creditors is due to be repaid within a year.

However, Hudgell has previously hinted that board members have been prepared to underwrite the club's debts and fund heavy investment in the playing squad.

Rovers hope a £750,000 extension of the east stand, which will take capacity to 11,700, will generate an extra £200,000 a year in gate receipts.
